Prince Edward Island invites 127 immigration candidates in new draw
Prince Edward Island (PEI) released details on their scheduled Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw from July 15.
The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) invited 127 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination.
Majority of the invitations, 118, were issued to Express Entry and Labour Impact candidates. The remaining 9 invitations were given to Business Impact candidates with a minimum of 75 points in the PEI system.
So far in 2021, Pei has held seven draws and invited a total of 1,032 immigration candidates. Of the total, 934 invitations were from the Express Entry and Labour Impact streams. The other 98 invites were from the Business Impact stream.
The next PEI PNP draw is expected for August 19, 2021.
PEI PNP’s Express Entry stream is an enhanced PNP, meaning it is linked with the federal Express Entry system. To be considered for this stream, interested candidates must register a profile in the federal pool as well as an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile with the PEI PNP.
The Labour Impact stream is for foreign nationals with valid job offers in PEI and who have support from their employer. There are three categories: Skilled Worker, Critical Worker, and International Graduate. Interested candidates for this stream must create an EOI profile with the PEI PNP.
The Business Impact stream requires candidates to meet the minimum provincial score requirement in order to move forward with their applications. In this draw, candidates were invited from the Work Permit Stream which is for foreign entrepreneurs who want to own and operate a business in PEI.
