Saskatchewan invited 295 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination on July 8.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) invited candidates from the International Skilled Worker category. Of those invited, 99 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued to candidates eligible for the SINP Express Entry sub-category. The remaining 196 ITAs were issued to candidates from the Occupations In-Demand sub-category.

Regardless of the stream, candidates were required to meet the minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score of 80 in order to receive an invitation. Additionally, all candidates needed an Educational Credential Assessment showing their foreign education is comparable to the Canadian standard.

The SINP targeted candidates with work experience in one of the sixty-two (62) in-demand occupations. See below for a list of the National Occupational Codes (NOCs) targeted in this draw.

0013, 0014, 0016, 0114, 0121, 0124, 0421, 0423, 0621, 0651, 0711, 0712, 0821, 0822, 0911, 1121, 1122, 1123, 1213, 1214, 1215, 1221, 1222, 1224, 1241, 1243, 1252, 1313, 2131, 2132, 2151, 2212, 2232, 2241, 2242, 2253, 2262, 2263, 2264, 3211, 3234, 4033, 4152, 4162, 4165, 4166, 4169, 4212, 4216, 7236, 7237, 7241, 7242, 7244, 7251, 7294, 7321, 7371, 7384, 8221, 8222, 9212.

The Occupations In-Demand sub-category is a base Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), this means that it is open to immigration candidates who do not have an Express Entry profile. It is designed for highly skilled workers with experience in an in-demand occupation in Saskatchewan, who do not yet have a job offer in the province.

The Express Entry sub-category is an enhanced PNP, meaning it is linked to the federal Express Entry system. To be eligible to receive a provincial nomination from the SINP, candidates must create register in the Express Entry pool as well as create an EOI profile for Saskatchewan. Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination from the SINP are given 600 additional points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
