Manitoba invited 141 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination on June 17.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to skilled worker candidates who had profiles in Manitoba’s Expression of Interest (EOI) system.

See below for a breakdown of the LAAs issued with minimum EOI scores.

Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 95 LAAs issued with a minimum EOI score requirement of 430.

Skilled Workers Overseas: 24 LAAs issued with a minimum EOI score requirement of 703.

International Education Stream: 22 LAAs with no EOI score requirement.

Of the 141 LAAs, 10 invitations were given to Express Entry candidates.

Manitoba has issued a total of 3,705 LAAs to Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates so far in 2021.

This draw had one less LAA issued from the previous MPNP draw the province held.

Candidates who are interested in immigrating to Manitoba need to first assess their skills and work experience. Then, register an EOI profile with the MPNP. Once candidates are in the EOI pool, the MPNP will rank candidates out of 1,000 points. The candidates are ranked on various human capital factors and their connections to the province.

Skilled workers who register an EOI profile with the MPNP are then able to receive an LAA through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams.

Overseas candidates need to demonstrate connections to Manitoba through either close family ties, previous experience, or an invitation through one of Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives. Candidates do not need to be living in Manitoba at the time of their application in order to be eligible.

International students who graduate from a Manitoba institution can receive an LAA under the International Education Stream if they show that they have in-demand skills.
