Manitoba PNP issues 142 Letters of Advice to Apply to candidates in new draw
Manitoba issued a total of 142 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to immigration candidates on June 7.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invited candidates from the Skilled Workers in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and the Skilled Workers Overseas Streams under the Expression of Interest (EOI) system.
The Skilled Workers Overseas candidates were invited directly by the MPNP under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
See below for a breakdown of the invitations.
Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 95 LAAs issued; minimum EOI score of 375.
International Education Stream: 22 LAAs issued; no minimum EOI score required.
Skilled Workers Overseas: 25 LAAs issued; minimum EOI score of 708.
Of the 142 LAAs issued in this draw, only 13 were issued to Express Entry candidates.
Candidates who received invitations can now apply for a provincial nomination through Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The nomination can support candidates’ final application for permanent residence in Canada.
The MPNP has now invited 3,564 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination so far in 2021.
Manitoba regularly holds draws similar to this one inviting candidates from the three (3) PNP streams: Skilled Workers in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and Skilled Workers Overseas. Candidates interested in either Skilled Worker streams must have previously submitted an EOI profile.
People who are interested in immigrating to Manitoba must register an EOI with the MPNP. This allows candidates to receive an LAA through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams.
The MPNP will then rank candidates in the EOI pool out of 1,000 points. Candidates are evaluated and ranked based on some human capital factors and their connections to the province.
