Manitoba PNP invites 404 Express Entry candidates in recent draw
Manitoba invited 404 Express Entry candidates in an unusual draw held on May 27.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invited Express Entry candidates who may be eligible for the Skilled Workers Overseas stream.
Selected candidates needed to have an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile and an EOI score of at least 601 in order to receive an invitation. The EOI score is based on Manitoba’s EOI scoring matrix. There was no Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for this draw.
Normally, Manitoba only invites a few Express Entry candidates at a time. Typically, the majority of invites are shared between candidates who may be eligible for the Skilled Workers in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and non-Express Entry candidates applying under the Skilled Workers Overseas stream.
Since all candidates invited in this draw have Express Entry profiles, the nomination from Manitoba’s provincial Nominee Program (PNP) will automatically give them an extra 600 CRS points. This will ultimately be more than enough points to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.
People who are interested in receiving a nomination from Manitoba need to register an Expression of Interest with the MPNP. This will allow the candidate to receive a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams.
Manitoba will then rank candidates out of 1,000 points based on their human capital factors as well as their connections to the province.
Both skilled worker streams were designed to allow Manitoba to identify candidates who meet its labour market needs.
Candidates do not need to be living in the province at the time of the application to be eligible.
