British Columbia PNP issues 370 invitations to immigration candidates in two new draws.jpg

British Columbia (B.C.) invited 370 immigration candidates in two separate Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws on May 25.

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (B.C. PNP) invited candidates from the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry B.C. (EEBC) streams in both draws.

The first draw targeted 47 immigration candidates whose occupation falls under NOC 0621 (retail and wholesale trade managers) or NOC 0631 (restaurant and food service managers). Selected candidates in this draw were from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate sub-categories of the SI and EEBC streams. All candidates needed to have a minimum provincial score of 111 in order to receive an invitation.

The second draw invited 323 immigration candidates from the Skilled Worker, International Graduate, and Entry Level and Semi-Skilled sub-categories of the SI and EEBC streams. See below for a breakdown of the minimum provincial score requirements.

SI: Skilled Worker – minimum provincial score requirement of 94.

SI: International Graduate – minimum provincial score requirement of 90.

SI: Entry Level and Semi-Skilled – minimum provincial score requirement of 76.

EEBC: Skilled Worker – minimum provincial score requirement of 94.

EEBC: International Graduate – minimum provincial score requirement of 90.

B.C. has issued a total of 4,808 invitations through various B.C. PNP streams so far this year.

B.C. has been conducting two (2) separate rounds of invitations under its PNP program since February 2021. There has been a general draw and a second draw targeting retail and wholesale managers and restaurant and food service managers. Since there is a high number of people registered in the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) in these two occupations, the province is seeking to balance the needs in all sectors of the provincial labour market.

Invited candidates now have thirty (30) days from the date of the invitation to submit a complete application through the B.C. PNP online system.
