Prince Edward Island (PEI) issued 121 invites to immigration candidates in a draw held on February 18, 2021.

The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) issued invitations to candidates in the Express Entry, Labour Impact, and Business Impact immigration streams. Majority of invitations were given to Express Entry and Labour Impact candidates with 102 invites issued. The remaining 19 invitations were given to Business Impact candidates.

Business Impact candidates needed to meet a point threshold of 82. Candidates invited were part of the Work Permit Stream of the Business Impact Category. The Work Permit Category is for foreign entrepreneurs who want to own and operate a business in PEI.

The PEI PNP did not provide further information on how many Express Entry and Labour Impact candidates were invited along with the minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score required for both categories.

The PEI PNP Express Entry Category is an enhanced PNP, meaning it works within the federal Express Entry system. Express Entry has three (3) economic-class immigration categories: Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class.

The Labour Impact Category is for foreign workers who have a valid full-time job offer in PEI and has support from their employer. Labour Impact is divided into three (3) streams: Skilled Worker, Critical Worker, and International Graduate. Candidates part of the Labour Impact Category are required to submit an EOI profile to be considered for a provincial nomination for PEI.
