Alberta invites 200 Express Entry candidates in new PNP draw
Alberta invited 200 Express Entry candidates to apply for provincial nomination on February 10, 2021.
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) invited 200 Express Entry candidates to apply for the Alberta Express Entry stream. Invited candidates needed a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 301.
The CRS requirement of this draw dropped almost sixty (60) points since the previous invitation round.
To receive an invitation in the AINP draw, candidates need to have a profile in the Express Entry system. Express Entry is Canada’s application management system for the three (3) Federal High Skilled immigration pathways: Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program.
Candidates in the Express Entry system have the opportunity to receive an invitation to apply (ITA) for a provincial nomination from Alberta and other participating provinces with aligned PNPs. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Alberta is only considering candidates who are already living and working in the province.
Candidates need to have work experience in an eligible occupation that supports the province’s economic development and diversification priorities. Check the AINP website to find the list of occupations that they will not consider, any other occupations may be considered.
