Manitoba PNP issues 296 invites to immigration candidates
Manitoba invited 296 immigration candidates in a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw held on February 12, 2021.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has held three draws this year. In this draw, Skilled Workers and International Graduates were invited through three streams: Skilled Workers in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and Skilled Workers Overseas.
The Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) and the Expression of Interest (EOI) score requirements were:
Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 240 LAAs and a minimum EOI score of 514.
International Education Stream: 33 LAAs with no designated EOI score requirement.
Skilled Workers Overseas: 23 LAAs and a minimum EOI score of 676.
Express Entry candidates received 20 LAAs.
If you are interested in the MPNP, you first need to register an Expression of Interest with the MPNP. This allows you to potentially receive an LAA through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams.
Manitoba ranks candidates out of 1,000 points based on their human capital factors and their connections to Manitoba.
The two Skilled Worker streams for Manitoba allow them to identify candidates who meet their labour market needs. Candidates overseas need to show connections to Manitoba via family, previous experience in Manitoba, or an invitation through one of Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives. Candidates do not need to be living in Manitoba at the time that their application is eligible. To receive an invitation under the Skilled Workers stream, candidates need a valid full-time job offer from an employer in Manitoba.
International Graduates who complete education in Manitoba can receive an LAA under the International Education Stream if they demonstrate that they have skills in an in-demand occupation.
