Saskatchewan Issues 385 Invitations in first Expression of Interest draw 2021
Saskatchewan Immigration held its first Expression of Interest daw of 2021 and issued 385 invitations. Candidates selected were part of two groups: Occupation-In-Demand (OID) and Express Entry international skilled workers of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). All selected candidates needed a minimum score of 71.
Occupations In-Demand candidates needed to have skills and experience in one of 79 National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes. 237 invitations were issued to OID candidates. 148 invitations were issued to SINP Express Entry candidates with experience and skills in the same 79 NOC codes.
The Express Entry category of SINP is for individuals who have files in the Federal Express Entry program. Those candidates automatically get 600 points towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score once offered an invitation. Candidates in the OID category do not need a valid profile in the Federal Express Entry. OID is the right fit for candidates who have many years of work experience in occupations with labour shortages in Saskatchewan.
