ArriveCAN app is mandatory for travellers before and after arrival in Canada
Canada announces new mandatory requirements for travelers before and after arrival. Travelers to Canada will soon be needed to use the ArriveCAN application as a component of efforts to help contain the spread of the Covid.
This free application was presented in April 2020, with an end goal to assist explorers with consenting to border measures, and administration media release says. It is accessible as a portable application or by accessing through the website.
Before arriving at the border:
From November 21, it's mandatory for travelers whose final destination is Canada must submit their information through the ArriveCAN application before boarding. This information will be based on the basic contact information, quarantine plan, and a COVID-19 symptom self-assessment.
While entering Canada, travelers will be required to present their ArriveCAN receipt. Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) officers will confirm that travelers have submitted their information digitally.
After arriving at the border:
As of November 21, 2020, all travelers who enter Canada via air, land, or marine will likewise be needed to submit data through ArriveCAN or by calling the accompanying complementary number: 1-833-641-0343 during their isolate period. Those excluded under the Mandatory Isolation Order don't have to complete this procedure.
Within 48 hours of arriving in Canada, travelers must confirm they have arrived at their place of isolation, and they should finish an everyday COVID-19 self-evaluation during the quarantine period.
